1940's Rolex Ladies Vintage Cocktail Watch - 18K White Gold and Diamonds

Rolex

Item No. 5859

While busy was building their Oyster cased wristwatches, Rolex crafted some special diamond encrusted wristwatches to meet the needs of their wealthy female clients. Today these creations are prized by ladies of distinction and any woman desiring to wear an original gem.

The Lady Rolex featured in today's offering is a beautiful original example of one of these luxurious vintage Rolex.

Bejeweled with thirty-four diamonds, the 18K white gold Rolex case is absolutely stunning! Unlike most vintage diamond ladies Rolex dress watches which were cased in the U.S. in 14K cases, this is a true Swiss creation, perhaps made for Bucherer, as many of these types of creations were.

The diamonds appear to be original Rolex factory done, although we can't say with absolute certainty. Please inquire if you would like to see a Rolex factory done example with the same case body that we have owned.

With its shapely case that showcases full diamond bezel and lugs, this cocktail watch added the perfect finishing touch to the formal attire worn to galas, award ceremonies, or holiday parties.

It presents in pleasing condition and looks stunning on the wrist! Its silver honeycomb dial is original and untouched - it presents as just short of mint with light warming of its color, giving it a true vintage look.

Our watchmaker has freshly cleaned and oiled the movement and installed a new mineral glass crystal.

Included with the purchase is a one-year warranty on the movement and its function, a custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.

The photos just don't do this one justice. If you are looking for a treasure for that special someone in your life, this is it. Modern Rolexes can't match the charm and romance of this rare original.
